Cat Ba National Park is an extremely unique traditional park in the system of national parks of Vietnam. These ecosystems are adjacent and follow each other, creating extremely rich landscapes and habitats. The park is also the only conservation area of Vietnam and the world where populations of Cat Ba langur exist.
8.00-8.30: Pick up at your hotel in Cat Ba town.
9.00-11.30: Arrive National Park gate, take entrance fee and start trekking.
You will see some mammals such as mink, squirrel, monkey, bird and many butterflies; especially if you’re lucky, you will see species yellow-headed langurs, one of the rarest animals are listed in Red Book.
11.30: In after 2.5 hours trekking with distance about 6km, you will stop at the frog pond.
From frog pond’s bottom, reaching up thousands of “Va Nuoc” trees, the species is only found in the Frog ponds not anywhere else in Cat Ba Island.
12.00-13.00: Continue trekking from the last mountain named “Dọc Dài” to Viet Hai Village (4km).
Have lunch and take a rest at Viet Hai Village. Experience fish massage your feet in cool stream flowing from Cat Ba primeval forest.
14.00: Take bicycling 5km to Viet Hai harbor.
14.30: Get on the boat through Lan Ha Bay, stop at a floating house for kayaking to discover the beauty of Lan Ha Bay – The most beautiful bay of the world, enjoy a great time to immerse yourself in Lan Ha bay’s clear blue water.
16.30: Boat takes you back to Cai Beo wharf, you will visit Cai Beo Fishing floating village on way back. Cai Beo was formed hundreds years ago, associated with the process of ancient Cat Ba’s residents moved from forest to the sea to find food from the ocean.
17.00: Arrive Cai Beo wharf, car take you back Cat Ba Town center. Finish journey and see you again.
